On Saturday, 21 July,2025 marketplace believers gathered for a day of connection and equipping at our biannual Placed With Purpose (PWP) Conference. Participants joined us in person at CPC Athlone, while others connected online via livestream from different parts of Africa.

A Day That Almost Didn’t Happen

The day did not come without its challenges. Just minutes before the conference was set to begin, electricity was restored after a breakdown the day before. But our God is faithful – power was back, and we were able to start on time, both in person and online. From the moment people started arriving – whether walking through the doors or logging in via Zoom – there was excitement and a sense that God was going to do something amazing.

Living with Kingdom Purpose

This year’s theme, “Marketplace Believers are Strategic for the Gospel,” was clear and impactful. The vision of A2A is to come alongside marketplace believers to see that their daily work, studies, and influence are all connected to God’s mission. Our keynote speaker, Tshepang Basuipi, reminded us: "You may be surrounded by darkness, by people who have probably never met a Christian. But right there — in your workplace, in your community — your light can shine brightly for your King and Lord."

His message challenged us with Biblical truths, stirring our hearts and minds, and encouraged us to go into our jobs, professions, and studies in ways that leave a lasting Kingdom impact.

Breakout Sessions and Equipping
The breakout sessions were well attended both in person and online, providing participants with the opportunity to engage in smaller, more interactive settings. Topics included

• Biblical View of Work,
• Church Strategy in Sending
• Marketplace Workers

All sessions aimed at connecting, equipping, and empowering marketplace believers for God’s mission.

Partnership in Action
It was inspiring to see such a diverse mix of conference attendees – professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and church leaders – all united by one goal: to make Jesus known where He placed them.

We were also blessed by our Kingdom partners who exhibited at the event.
